In
a culture defined by ideology, consumption and exploitation, there is
nothing quite as subversive as faith...
If
anyone had told me a few short years ago that I'd put together a
website and outline the entire sordid story of my time in "the Desert"
on it, I would have told them that they were, without a doubt, quite
mad. But, I feel compelled to do just that. If you are easily
offended, I will make my apologies right now because your chances of
becoming offended are real good! Sometimes I figure it's just easier to
ask for forgiveness than permission.
This site is not meant to offend you,
or anything like that. But it is meant to make you think. It's one of
those places where I'll put all of the stuff that I meant to show you
the last time we talked - sorta like an electronic bookshelf. And if
you remember the shelves in the living room, you already know how
cluttered they were... So, I'll try to make this easy for all of us:
little buttons here and there, pictures with arrows and descriptions
and little paragraphs telling you what's going on...
And I am
going to tell you right from the get-go that if you don't know who
Jesus Christ is right now, you probably will by the time you leave. If
you choose to bail before coming to that particular page, I can't stop
you (duh!)
but I hope you'll stay long enough to read my story. I'm no Hemingway, and for
that I apologize - I'm just a messenger. But that message is the most important thing
on this site.
So, let me tell you a little
story...
